Ghostly Runway Show for First Friday at the Loom

Brooklyn, NY -- Ghosts will haunt the Loom's First Friday!

"This year’s Loom fashion show will be hiring ghosts left over from Halloween as our models" said Karin Persan, owner of Better Than Jam.

Better Than Jam and Nouveau Vieux will be co-hosting this year’s fashion show, with a ghostly twist. On November 4th from 7-12am, the halls of the Loom will be haunted by the spirits, and the Shops at the Loom will make them walk the runway.  Tomahawk Salon will be doing fantastic hair and deathly makeup, and Better Than Jam and Nouveau Vieux will be styling these poor souls, and creating one fun event.  Complimentary beverages to all the guests, fantastic djs, live bands, photo booth, and so much more is in store.

"We had so much fun last year as zombies," said Persan. "I can’t wait to see all the great looks these talented people will come up with!  We encourage everyone to get involved, so please come dressed up!"

The Shops at the Loom is becoming a fixture of Bushwick at 1087 Flushing Ave.  The Loom is a unique space set in the midst of a talented community. Better Than Jam and Nouveau Vieux’s neighbors include Bushwick Deli, purveyors of amazing sandwiches and all the essentials, Brooklyn Yarn Cafe and it’s sister shop the Bakzaria, which carries a plethora of both knitting supplies and tasty baked treats and pizzas, Kave Cafe, a specialty coffee shop with regilar live music, and The Loom Studios, where one can take yoga, dance, other classes, and it’s newest neighbor, Silky’s, a custom screen printing studio.
